Description

The Anagraphic Trace is a document that allows you to identify the current domicile and/or residence of a natural person. This tool is widely used, especially in the legal field, since many legal acts are null and void if not notified at the domicile and/or residence of the debtor or the interested party. Consequently, it is essential to know with certainty the domicile and/or residence of a person before notifying any type of act, such as a precept, a seizure, summonses, appeals, etc.

Anagraphic Tracing can be requested to identify the domicile of individuals or legal entities throughout the Italian territory. However, the investigation cannot guarantee the domicile and/or residence of persons residing outside the national territory, with the exception of those who are registered with AIRE (Registry of Italians Resident Abroad). Since there is no obligation to register in this list, it may happen that a person lives abroad for many years without registering with AIRE. This situation often occurs within the EU territory. In addition to domicile and/or residence, Anagraphic Tracing also includes the personal data and tax code of the person for whom the request is made. It should be noted that, generally, for natural persons, domicile and residence coincide.
